What is Ozone?
Ozone is simply oxygen in a tri-atomic form. Oxygen that we breathe consists of 2 oxygen atoms (O2) strongly bound together. By adding energy, a third oxygen atom is loosely attached forming ozone (O3). This third atom is looking for an opportunity to break loose and attach to organic substances such as bacteria and viruses, thereby killing the organism. Ozone that isn’t attached to these organisms quickly reattaches to other single oxygen atoms, reverting back to natural O2.

Ozone replaces other widely used chemicals such as sodium hypochlorite (bleach), sodium hydroxide (caustic), bromine, quaternary ammonia, butyl cellosolve, IPA, and other proprietary blends that require careful dosing, mixing and specialized waste treatment. Ozonated water is simply activated oxygen…..and water, which is produced right at the site. Excess ozone quickly reverts back to O2, which is the natural form in our atmosphere. No haul-off, no discharge issues.
Expertise
Our trained Service Technicians can come to your facility and properly prepare it for ozonation by removing filters, bypassing DI columns and purging points-of-use. Using one of our portable units, ozone introduction and dosage is controlled based on system design, organic loading/bacteria counts, and sanitization frequency. As ozone kills organisms faster than other chemistries, your system is rinsed and back on line with a minimum of downtime.
