38 Story New Corporate Headquarters- Too many bottles
For a large bank, Atlas was chosen to design, install and maintain a whole building reverse osmosis water system to feed approximately 50 water coolers and a large number of automatic coffee makers throughout the building, as well as ice machines in a food service kitchen.
The "head unit" (the purification and storage equipment) was installed in the top utility floor and a riser tube was installed from the top floor to the bottom. Distribution tubing was connected on all floors and water coolers were installed to complete the central system. As with all Atlas installations, a permit was pulled with the city’s plumbing inspector and all work was performed according to plumbing code.
The client saved expensive floor space that would have been needed to store water bottles, relieved the facility manager of having to manage the bottled water, significantly reduced paperwork for the Accounting department and has cut the cost of providing drinking water to its employees by approximately 60% per year.
The system is being maintained by the Atlas service department on a scheduled maintenance program.
