Private Well Water Causing Orange Staining and Corrosion
A Salisbury family with private well water was experiencing severe orange staining and corrosion throughout their home. Atlas determined the cause to be a high concentration of iron in the water, combined with a low pH level.
Homeowner quotes: "We could never wash white clothing at home because the water contained such a high level of iron it turned everything orange,". "The water was undrinkable and our sinks, toilets and washing machine were rust stained. The Atlas system resolved all of these issues and has alleviated a great deal of stress for us."
As the Iron was in solution (or Ferrous versus Ferric/particulate) Atlas installed a pH neutralization and water softener combination which eliminated the staining and corrosion problems and created consistent, clean water. A reverse osmosis water system was also installed to provide a "stepped up" level of purity for drinking; equivalent or better than bottled water.
